desert bighorn sheep

the west texas legend

desert bighorn sheep have a long, storied history with the trans pecos region of texas. once reduced to near extinction in west texas, these legendary sheep have made a comeback in what is one of the best conservation success stories in texas history.

now that populations have made a strong comeback, a small number of sheep can be harvested in texas every year, and we are proud to offer the opportunity to hunt them. each sheep hunt is custom tailored to your preference, due to the exclusive nature of the hunts.

about our desert bighorn hunts

due to the nature of these hunts, each one will be tailored to the hunter. on a perennial outfitting desert sheep hunt, you can expect to put in anywhere from 2 to 6 miles of hiking, and up to 10 hours behind your glass. these sheep live in very extreme country that can be a challenge to get to.

ranges can vary anywhere from 100 to 300 yards, so be prepared to make shots out to those distances.

our bighorn pricing

the exclusivity of these tags can cause prices to fluctuate a good amount, and pricing will change with each hunt. If you're interested in a bighorn hunt, please inquire for pricing.
